When evaluating software packages you should be looking for one that
best fits your business processes. No packaged solution will fit 100%
(see the Purchase Advice area); for the processes that do not fit the
package there is a decision to be made, either you change your process
to fit the package or you purchase some bespoke programming work which
handles the process and integrates it into your package.
Alternatively your business may have processes which are unique and do not reflect any pacakage on the market, although this would be very rare. In the majority of cases bespoke programming tends to be integrating a process within your business which is not catered for by your packaged solution, into or out of your core database. However bespoke programming is expensive and you should be certain that the software you already have doesn't have the functionality you are looking for (eg have you explored all the features in the software package), or the functionality it does give is 80% of what you require, the remaining 20% can be handled by a change in your processes. There are situations where a bespoke programming solution would benefit your business and mooooch has considerable experience in developing applications which integrate into standard package solutions eg (Microsoft Great Plains, Sage), these may be web based applications or PC based applications. Why chooose mooooch to develop your bespoke software? Here are some the reasons that make us stand out from the crowd. |

We will not recommend a bespoke programming solution
if we don't think it is necessary, or if there are alternative methods
which can be employed to do the same job.
We will produce an analysis of your requirements
and a functional specification to be agreed with you as to exactly
what the software is intended to do.
In our experience even though a specification has been agreed upon, there will be a degree of change during the design and development phase. It would be very exceptional if a person could describe a system that would be a 100% fit from the first day it went live. Like lots of things in life, specifying software applications evolve during the course of the development as the overall picture becomes clearer, not only in the customers mind but the developers mind also. We will do our utmost to incorporate minor changes into the development at any stage, free of charge.
We don't want your software to not be working to its maximum value,
and if this is being prohibited by a half-day of programming, we
think it is better to just do the work.
Why, because we are here for the long term; if you are getting a flexible solution without having to keep purchasing half-days of programming here and there, we think you will choose mooooch for your next software solution. Once a bespoke software solution has been delivered; if there is a change required that would result in upto a half-day of programming, this will be free of charge. |
